Cremation

Cremation has become an increasingly popular choice when selecting end-of-life options with more that 50% of Americans choosing cremation over the traditional ground burial.

At Highview our state-of-the-art crematory is located in the privacy of our funeral home.  This allows us complete control over the cremation and preparation process. This way your loved one remains in our care every step of the way.  It is not uncommon for funeral homes to sub-contract the cremation and transport the decedent to another location, often resulting in extra time and more anxiety over the process.  At Highview we are uniquely designed so the integrity of the cremation process is never compromised.

Cremation is less expensive than a traditional burial. Cremation expenses includes the cremation process and the standard receptacle where as a traditional burial has the additional cost of a casket, a vault, and a grave site or crypt.

For most, the direct cremation does not fulfill the emotional needs of a decedent’s family; the need for a time to embrace the love and support of family and friends, to celebrate a life, to say a final good-bye, therefore, a cremation funeral is available.

Options for a cremation funeral include:

Witnessing the Cremation.

From our Witnessing Room of soft pastel décor, a family may witness the cremation of their loved one in intimate privacy.

Visitation.

Highview’s lovely Visitation Room is the perfect place for a visitation; a time when family, friends, acquaintances, and fellow co-workers can share memories with the family.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony or A Religious Ceremony.

A Celebration of Life or a Religious Ceremony is an essential segment of many funeral services.  These ceremonies may take place in the religious institution of your choice, in our visitation room, or under a tent overlooking a serene and tranquil landscape.  The choice is yours.

Final Resting Place Interment.

There are many beautiful resting places in our 80-acre memorial garden to consider.  Possible choices include a niche in our mausoleum, a cremation bench in our expanding butterfly garden, a crypt in our hillside mausoleum, a grassy plot in our veterans or first responder’s garden to name a few.  A final resting place to memorialize, to commemorate your loved one for eternity.

Final Gathering.

Highview has a catering service and venue available offering friends and family the opportunity to meet, support each other, share memories and stories as they continue to celebrate the life of someone they loved.
